"A kids sofa flew off his truck and hit me. As I tried to get out the way, I ran into him. This kid ended up having no insurance and State Farm made it very hard for me to get my wife’s medical expenses paid, even though I had full coverage and insurance uninsured motorist coverage. Wasn’t till I got a lawyer, did this left resolved. Years after I found out that they recorded me as having 2 accidents that day. Guess one from the sofa hitting me and one for me rear ending that kid. Only found out after I was looking to switch insurance and the other company looked me up and told me the record me as getting into 2 accidents with raise my cost 2x for one accident that was not even my fault. When I mentioned this to them, the lady there told me that in 2 month my premium would be back to normal. Was with them for almost 20 years. If I would have only known and would had left way earlier."
